A new day

With every sunrise starts a new day, full of hope and promise, a new opportunity to leave a impact on others.  I have battled personal demons and everyday it is a struggle, but everyday brings this wonderful opportunity to put my demons aside and make a difference..I am so thankful that I found my passion it has pulled me out of a hopelessness, I now look at the world through a whole new set of eyes, I can appreciate the beauty in the everyday simple things, I found this quote and I believe it to be so true " We can only appreciate the miracle of a sunrise if we have waited in the darkness''.

Winter Has Arrived!

Winter has arrived here in NY.  Winter really isn't my favorite season, I'm a fall kind of gal, I love the beauty that fall brings, with all the changing color! Anyhow winter where I live usually arrives in Oct and lasts until April!!  So I have been loving all the green grass we have had Nov, Dec, and into Jan.  My relatives in NM where getting more snow storms than we where.  Until now, winter has finally arrived and I think its safe to say is going to stick around for awhile! We got over a foot of snow in a day and a half, and I will admit, its beautiful, for the moment!

Love Story

I got a phone call from a friend a few weeks back that her fiance's son had gotten engaged and she wanted me to come and take some pics for them.  R who lives out of state and is in the military was only home for a short time...I was super excited as this would be my first client of the new year!  We have been having a pretty mild winter and was hoping for a mild day so that I could take the couple outside for there session.  I feel that my specialty is natural light photography and really don't do alot of indoor shoots, nor at this moment desire to.  The day had arrived and we had gotten dumped on over night a good 6 inches of snow had fallen and they were calling for another 4-6 throughout the day!!  It was a blizzard driving to the location, luckily it was only a 5 min drive from my house, but all back, non-plowed roads!! I arrived to the location and was pretty nervous because I just knew I would have to do the shoot indoors. I met the couple, and they were the cutest, I could tell right away that it wouldn't take much persuading to get them  outside for a couple shots. I had a ton of fun, they couldn't stop staring at each other, you could tell how much they love each other, it was pretty inspiring..I wish them luck as they go forward together in the future.
